CCMC Community Manager Claims First PCAM in Southern Utah

CCMC is pleased to announce that Dave Houston recently joined the elite group of community association managers who have earned the Professional Community Association Manager® (PCAM®) designation. Over the past 30 years, Community Associations Institute (CAI) has awarded the coveted PCAM® to the top 5% of managers in the country. To earn the PCAM® designation, managers must have 5 years of industry experience, complete more than 100 hours of course work and submit a satisfactory case study. Dave, who currently manages Coral Canyon in Washington, is also a Certified Manager of Community Associations® (CMCA®) and Association Management Specialist® (AMS®). He is the first and only designated PCAM® in southern Utah.

“Community Association Management is a very personal business,” says Dave, “My job is to improve the quality of life for homeowners, while protecting one of their greatest investments – their home,” he explains. After more than 3 decades of military service, Dave joined CCMC in 2003. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science from Brigham Young University and his Master’s in Business Administration from National University. He is actively involved in the community association industry and has served on the Utah Legislative Action Committee since 2006.

A true servant leader, Dave has been the President of the Military Officers Association, Color Country Chapter since 2005. He is also been a member of the Washington County Sherriff’s Search and Rescue Team for the past 6 years. Dave has been married for 43 years to his wife Judy. Together, they have 5 children and 6 grandchildren.
