CCMC Central Division Names Next Vice President

CCMC is pleased to announce that Andy Babbitt has been selected as the next vice president for the central division. Andy will transition to his new role in January 2012, serving Craig Ranch, Valley Ranch, Pointe West, The Hollows, Sweetgrass and The Village at Tuscan Lakes. “This critical position had to be filled internally,” says division president Todd Davidson, “by someone who understands the values and culture of CCMC. New Virgina Community Draws Hundreds to Grand Opening

Where does community agriculture combine with simple pleasures to produce inspired living? In the hills of Loudoun County, VA at a place, unlike any other, called Willowsford. Last week, the new community sprang to life at its grand opening – and first annual – Taste of Willowsford celebration. With the beautiful Virginia countryside for a backdrop, the bluegrass and barbeque event showcased one of the nation’s top Bluegrass bands, The Boxcars. Artisanal food from local dairies, wineries, orchards and farms complemented dishes prepared by Top Chef runner-up, Mike Isabella. CCMC Community Wins Congressional Recognition Award

National Night Out is a simple idea: get neighbors together to build community spirit, improve police partnerships and prevent crime. Brilliant! For nearly three decades, neighborhoods across the country have set aside one night every August to host NNO events. This year’s event, held on August 2, attracted 37 million participants from 15,000 different communities. One of those communities was Siena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Managed by CCMC since inception, Siena is an age-privileged community of 2,001 households. A longstanding Siena tradition, their version of NNO includes live music, a cookout, community partnership booths, plus many raffles, prizes and giveaways. This year, it also included a little something extra — a Congressional Recognition Award, presented by the United States Congress.   Read more

Todd Davidson Named Central Division President

This past February, CCMC central division president David Gibbons announced his plans to retire at the end of 2011. “Naming David’s successor has been a daunting task,” explains CEO Bart Park, “The breadth and depth of his experience simply cannot be matched. Rather than looking into the past for his replacement, we were committed to finding our future. Fortunately, we did not have to look any further than our own doors.”
