Two leading real estate organizations have released their annual lists of the Top-Selling Master-Planned Communities, and we’re proud to serve seven of the featured communities.

The lists were compiled by RCLCO and John Burns Real Estate Consulting.

BackCountry, Anthem Ranch Honored with CAI Awards

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Community Associations Institute recently recognized the efforts of CCMC teams at BackCountry and Anthem Ranch with top awards. BackCountry was named Community of the Year, while Anthem Ranch earned the Outstanding Community Building prize.

Situated among the beautiful Colorado landscape in Highlands Ranch, BackCountry allows its residents an opportunity to connect with nature, as well as their neighbors. Miles of trails wind through the surrounding area, providing amazing experiences for hikers and bikers alike.

A thriving lifestyle program focuses around activity at the Sundial House, a world-class amenity center equipped with fitness rooms, a pool and an on-site pub. The community transitioned to homeowner control earlier this year and is nearing its buildout of 1,267 homes. The community is led by community manager Jeff Powles; Ben Smith serves as lifestyle director.

Anthem Ranch’s Outstanding Community Building award reflects the community’s commitment to building relationships and connections between its active adult residents. Set in the picturesque mountain landscapes of Broomfield, the community engages residents through a variety of events and programs. The 32,000-square-foot Aspen Lodge, the community’s amenity center, features facilities for swimming, exercising, relaxing and spending quality time with friends and neighbors.

Community manager Sue Santos leads operational efforts, while lifestyle director Katherine Erstad facilitates events, activities and programs.

The honor of BackCountry being named Community of the Year is a testament to this team’s commitment to CCMC’s vision of providing the absolute highest-quality service to residents in the communities we serve.

Anthem Ranch’s recognition with the Outstanding Community Building award also exemplifies the commitment of that community’s on-site team to fulfilling CCMC’s purpose of bringing people together in the neighborhoods where they live and in the offices where we work. This award recognizes a community association for outstanding demonstrations of community resourcefulness and enhancement and application of team members’ strengths.

“The efforts of our teams at BackCountry and Anthem Ranch continue to showcase what sets CCMC apart, and awards such as these are a testament to our philosophy of service,” said division president Delores Ferguson. “We couldn’t be more proud of these teams and thankful to CAI for continuing to recognize excellence in our communities.”

Airess Eatmon, Windsong Ranch Named As Nationals Awards Finalists

A CCMC lifestyle director has been recognized as a Silver Award finalist for Lifestyle Director of the Year at the Nationals, the annual awards program presented by the National Sales and Marketing Council, a council of the National Association of Home Builders. 

Airess Eatmon, lifestyle director at Windsong Ranch in Prosper, Texas, is one of five recipients for the prestigious Silver Award. Silver Award winners are the top vote recipients in each category and finalists for the Gold Award. Winners will be announced at The Nationals Gala on Feb. 19 in Las Vegas. Airess joined CCMC in 2015 as lifestyle associate at Windsong Ranch; she was promoted to lifestyle director in November 2017.

In addition to Airess’s nomination, Windsong Ranch also received Silver Awards and will vie for Gold Awards in Best Lifestyle Annual Program and Master-Planned Community of the Year.

“Seeing Airess and the Windsong Ranch team recognized for their outstanding efforts to build community through service and lifestyle programming is amazing,” said Central Division president Andy Babbitt. “No matter what happens at February’s awards ceremony, we’re proud of what Airess and the rest of the team has accomplished and excited to see what comes next.”

Neighbors Unite to Raise Funds for Local Cause

By serving communities, we serve the greater community. Our teams empower residents to give back to important causes close to their own hearts. At Power Ranch in Gilbert, Arizona, this manifests itself in the annual Quartermania fundraiser.

A partnership between the community association and the Association of Power Ranch Entrepreneurs (ASPiRE), the Quartermania auction raises funds for a local charity. This year, the event benefited House of Refuge, a faith-based organization in Mesa helping homeless families in crisis by providing transitional housing and supportive services.

Together, ASPiRE, the on-site team and Power Ranch homeowners raised $12,635.97 – exceeding this year’s goal of $11,000. These funds allowed the Power Ranch Community Association to adopt a House of Refuge home for one year. This adoption includes safe housing, utilities, monthly food boxes, community center access, financial literacy programs, comprehensive support services and more.

Last month, members of the Power Ranch Board of Directors, on-site CCMC team and ASPiRE presented a check to House of Refuge. A plaque recognizing the community’s contribution now hangs on one of the organization’s 88 transitional homes. 

“We set a high bar for Quartermania this year, and our community came together to shatter expectations,” said Rebecca Hill, lifestyle director at Power Ranch. “We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this possible and excited to see how our contribution enables House of Refuge to serve those in need in our community.”

CCMC Named Management Company for Del Webb at Union Park

CCMC is pleased to announce that our relationship with PulteGroup continues to grow. “We have recently completed our consulting services for Del Webb at Union Park and will begin providing community management services to this active adult community,” explains central division president Andy Babbitt. “Featuring signature Del Webb amenities and fraternal lifestyle programming, this community is the perfect fit for CCMC.” 

Located in the Dallas suburb of Little Elm and situated within the master-planned community of Union Park, Del Webb at Union Park will grow to approximately 600 homes. It will feature amenities that are designed to encourage an active and engaged lifestyle. Our relationship with this developer began more than a decade ago and this will be our fifth active adult Del Webb project. The others include: The Village at Frisco Lakes (since 2006), Hill Country Retreat (since 2007), Del Webb Sweetgrass (since 2010) and Del Webb The Woodlands (since 2016).

Debra Wyatte Appointed to ULI Health Leaders Network

The Urban Land Institute’s Health Leaders Network empowers real estate and land use professionals to improve health outcomes in their professional practice and communities. We’re proud to announce the appointment of Debra Wyatte, vice president of lifestyle services for our Central and Eastern divisions, to the program’s second panel.

Debra is one of 26 professionals representing real estate development, planning, design, engineering, finance and health from across the country to serve. Fellow panel members include representatives from the New York University Stern School of Business, Fannie Mae and Tennessee Department of Health, among others.

As part of the program, Debra will attend an introductory forum during ULI’s Fall Meeting in Boston; participate in a series of webinars instructed by leaders in land use in health; work in small groups on issue briefs; and participate in a final forum in spring 2019.

“Debra’s appointment to this national panel is a testament to her hard work and dedication to the communities we serve, as well as the greater community,” said Central Division president Andy Babbitt. “We’re proud to see CCMC recognized alongside leaders in the land use space and even more proud of Debra for taking this initiative to give back in such an honorable way. We look forward to seeing what this group is able to accomplish and what role Debra and CCMC can play in making this vision a reality.”

CCMC Expands Relationship with Harvard Investments

CCMC is pleased to announce that its relationship with Harvard Investments is expanding, once again. “We are so pleased to watch our partnership with Harvard Investments grow, as we have just signed a consulting services agreement on their latest project, Verde Trails, in Avondale,” explains Western division president Delores Ferguson. The first homes are expected to be built in the fourth quarter of 2020.     

Verde Trails will eventually grow to 865 households. Residents will enjoy a large, central four-acre park, pocket parks and an extensive trail system. This will be our fifth project with Harvard. We have also provided consulting services for Gregg Ranch in Marble Falls, Texas and currently provide management services to Mariposa in Rio Rancho, New Mexico and Cadence at Gateway in Mesa, Arizona. Next month, we will begin managing Rancho El Dorado in Maricopa, Arizona.

CCMC Expands Relationship with DR Horton-San Antonio

CCMC is pleased to announce our relationship with DR Horton-San Antonio continues to grow. We have successfully transitioned our consulting agreement for Copper Canyon to management. Our services will begin November 1. 

Copper Canyon is located just south of Bulverde, minutes north of 1604 and east of 281.  The community is planned for approximately 1,250 single-family homes. It will have an amenity center, pool, neighborhood parks and miles of trails. You can learn more about Copper Canyon at   

This is the third DR Horton-San Antonio community we serve. The other two are Valley Ranch San Antonio (2016) and Whisper Falls (2018). CCMC also serves DR Horton’s Saguaro Bloom community in Marana, Arizona.

Our relationship with DR Horton in San Antonio began two years ago, when we began providing management services to Valley Ranch San Antonio. Under the leadership of community manager Candace Sparks and lifestyle director Austin Denson, Valley Ranch San Antonio has flourished in its early stages. “The work of Candace’s team at Valley Ranch San Antonio has demonstrated the CCMC’s difference to DR Horton in the San Antonio market,” said division president Andy Babbitt. “We’re excited to see the relationship between CCMC and DR Horton continues to grow as we partner with this client to help bring their vision for new communities to life.”
