Arden Wins Big at NAHB’s Nationals Awards

South Florida’s first agri-hood added a few more accomplishments to its record, as Arden took home several honors during the National Association of Home Builder’s Nationals Awards earlier this week in Las Vegas.

Arden, developed by Freehold Communities, earned:

  • Gold Award | Best Community Amenity
  • Silver Award | Best Masterplanned Community
  • Gold Award | Best Website for a Community
  • Gold Award | Best Realtor/Broker Program

Shearwater in St. Augustine, Florida, also developed by Freehold Communities, earned the Silver Award for Best Realtor/Broker Program.

“We’re extremely proud of the recognition Arden and Shearwater received at The Nationals,” said vice president Jenna Perkins. “The teams at these communities have worked hard to bring community programs to life and to engage homeowners, businesses and local realtors, and they should be proud of these accomplishments.”

CCMC Communities, Team Members Earn Top Honors at CAI San Antonio Awards Gala

The San Antonio chapter of the Community Associations Institute hosted its annual awards gala Saturday, and we’re pleased to announce CCMC communities and team members earned several top honors.

Award recipients include:

  • Valley Ranch San Antonio | Large Community of the Year
  • Stillwater Ranch | Award of Distinction
  • Monika Montoto | Community Manager, Alamo Ranch | Rising Star Award
  • Austin Denson | Lifestyle Director, Valley Ranch San Antonio | President’s Award

Additionally, Stillwater Ranch finished as runner-up in the Mega Community of the Year category.

“Thank you to CAI San Antonio for recognizing the contributions of our team members in building relationships with residents and truly making each community we serve feel like home,” said Central Division president Andy Babbitt. “I’m proud of all our award recipients for rising to the occasion and always living CCMC’s vision, mission and purpose. January is Officially Judy Dreis Month in Frisco Lakes, Texas

Through 13 years of serving the community, Judy Dreis has given the Villages at Frisco Lakes much to celebrate. The Board of the Frisco, Texas, community returned the favor by proclaiming January as Judy Dreis month, as the veteran community manager prepares for retirement.

“The Villages at Frisco Lakes could not have developed into the preeminent lifestyle community it has become without Judy’s guidance and leadership,” the Board’s proclamation reads. “The residents of Frisco Lakes will be forever grateful for Judy’s ever-present simile, dedication and care.”

CCMC’s longest-tenured team member, Judy joined the company in 1975. She will end her career on Feb. 1 – her 45th anniversary. Judy served in various roles until landing at the Villages at Frisco Lakes upon the community’s inception.

“It’s hard to believe yesterday was my very last Board of Directors meeting after all these years,” Judy said. “My impending retirement at the end of this month suddenly became very real when my wonderful Board president read the proclamation. Frisco Lakes came along at the perfect time in my life and has been such a blessing. The community’s new homeowner board was elected in September 2019, and they have been so helpful, hardworking and supportive.  To think that they honored me with this beautiful proclamation is so amazing.  They really touched my heart.”

Judy’s impact on the community will be felt for years to come.

“Today, Frisco Lakes is in a fantastic spot,” said Central Division president Andy Babbitt. “The Board recently transitioned to resident control, and our daily operations continue to run smoothly. Most importantly, Judy has grown a dedicated team of knowledgeable, service-oriented employees that will continue to take excellent care of this community and its residents. This will be her legacy.”

CCMC Moves Up Three Spots in 2019 Arizona Corporate Excellence Awards

Each year, the Phoenix Business Journal recognizes Valley-based companies at the Arizona Corporate Excellence (ACE) award ceremony. We’re pleased to announce CCMC ranked No. 31 among 50 privately held businesses, up three spots from 2018’s No. 34 ranking.

For the past 27 years, the ACE awards have highlighted the region’s biggest and best privately held companies with the goal of developing an increased sense of knowledge sharing and community.

Four CCMC Community Managers Earn GEM Awards from AACM

The Arizona Association of Community Managers (AACM) presented its annual Guided Excellence in Management (GEM) Awards at a banquet earlier this month. We’re proud to announce four of our community managers were recognized for their contributions to the industry.

Delores Ferguson Elected to Serve on Community Association Managers Council

CCMC is proud to announce that Western Division president Delores Ferguson has been elected to serve on the 2020 Community Association Managers Council for Community Associations Institute (CAI). “Serving in this capacity is a testament to Delores’s commitment to our industry. Her character and professionalism will have an extremely positive effect on this important organization,” says COO and president Todd Davidson.

The Community Association Managers Council represents all CAI community association manager members. The Board consists of twelve members and provides input on policy matters to the CAI Board of Trustees. Additionally, the Council serves as a key resource to staff, as they make recommendations on education curriculum, designations, and best practices, as well as help to identify what is of value to manager members.

Delores will begin her two-year term in January 2020. “It is truly a privilege to serve the community management industry on a national level. I am looking forward to working with my fellow Council Members to help managers across the country become stronger, more well-rounded and more strategic leaders in their communities,” she says.

Megan Conklin Named Lifestyle Director of the Year at Silver Nugget Awards

Congratulations to Megan Conklin, lifestyle director at Inspirada in Henderson, Nevada, for being named Lifestyle Director of the Year at the 2019 Silver Nugget Awards, hosted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal and Southern Nevada Home Builders Association.

Megan joined CCMC in 2016. This is the first year the Silver Nugget Awards have featured the Lifestyle Director of the Year category.

“Congratulations to Megan for this much-deserved recognition,” said Debra Wyatte, vice president of Lifestyle Services. “She has proven herself a valued partner with the builders at Inspirada, and the community has embraced the spirit of lifestyle she fosters in the community. Being the inaugural Lifestyle Director of the Year is an accomplishment, and this award gives Megan and our other Las Vegas lifestyle directors something to strive for in the future.”

Daybreak Named ‘Masterplan Community of the Year’ by Pacific Coast Builders Conference

The Pacific Coast Builders Conference hosted its annual Golden Nugget Awards ceremony last week, and we’re pleased to announce the judging committee named Daybreak in South Jordan, Utah, as “Masterplan Community of the Year.”

The annual awards competition drew more than 600 U.S. and international entries. Judges selected merits winners in more than 50 categories. The Golden Nugget Awards recognize those who improve communities through exceptional concepts in design, planning and development.

In addition to Daybreak, Headwaters in Dripping Springs, Texas, earned top honors for Best Community Land Plan.

“Daybreak continues to raise the bar for master-planned communities,” said Mountain Division president Tony Ledvina. “This award recognizes the efforts of Daybreak Communities, community leadership and the on-site management team to build on a reputation of excellence in the community. We’re proud to serve this community and grateful to the Pacific Coast Builders Conference for the recognition.”
