CCMC Names Pat Wasson Vice President, Florida

Pat WassonCCMC is pleased to announce the promotion of Pat Wasson. In her new role as vice president for the central division, she will oversee all CCMC-managed communities in Florida; serve as mentor and trainer to all community managers in this region; and ensure our Florida teams are fulfilling the CCMC purpose of creating experiences that connect people in the communities where they live and offices where we work. “No one is more equipped for this role than Pat,” explains division president Todd Davidson. “For the past fifteen years, she has served as our CCMC executive director at Celebration, Florida. One of the most recognized and respected leaders in our industry, she has led her community down a path of tremendous growth and incredible success. Her ability to establish, nurture and grow a vast network of strategic contacts has given Celebration a powerful community voice, while her expert leadership and counsel have allowed this community to continue to be one of the most recognized in the nation.” Pat will assume her new role once a successor has been selected, hired and trained.

Originally from Connecticut, Pat was “discovered” (as she says) soon after she bought a condominium unit and was elected to serve as secretary/treasurer of the board. When the board hired their first community management company, the CEO offered her a job. She would later own her own community management firm in Virginia, which she sold in 1999 to lead the CCMC team at Celebration. With a nationally-renowned reputation in the industry, Pat is frequently invited to speak at trade conferences and lead professional committees and boards. She has served as national president for Community Associations Institute (CAI), national faculty for CAI, chair of the national education committee and led the task force that established the current curriculum and standards for the national certification program for community managers. Most recently, she served as chair of the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers, now known as the Community Association Managers International Certification Board. She holds her Certified Manager of Community Associations® (CMCA®) and Professional Community Association Manager® (PCAM®) designations from CAI. “My time at Celebration has been a true gift,” Pat says. “Our volunteers have inspired me to think beyond the ordinary, embrace the extraordinary and expect the impossible. It has been an incredible privilege to watch this community grow. Now, I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and leadership with other CCMC team members.”
